Hello and welcome to the journey of parenthood!

I have worked at Hibiscus Coast Midwives for 19 years and qualified as a midwife 26 years ago. I am passionate about caring for woman and their families and strive to provide excellent care at all times. By empowering woman to believe in their abilities to birth their babies. I can help enable them to achieve a positive experience. Women progress well in labour if they feel safe, have trust in their bodies and know their wishes have been respected by their Midwife.

My midwife partners embrace my philosophy too so you are always in good hands! I have a passion for Normal Physiological Births (including Water Births) in the Primary Setting or at Home but also recognise that for some women, being in hospital is the right place for them. My many years of experience in the community and in hospital means I am comfortable and confident in both settings. I am happy to care for women needing an Elective Caesarean.

My caseload is kept at a manageable level to enable me to give all my families great care and attention.

My awesome back up midwife is Andrea McLelland (Andi), you will most likely meet her during your pregnancy.

I am married and have three children – aged 14 to 25.  My leisure time (when I get some!) is spent with my family on the water or relaxing with a good book.
